Guest thegreatorme Posted 9 October , 2003 Share Posted 9 October , 2003 Morning, I have a letter from my late Grandfather dated August 15th 1918. The letter is written on paper entitled "On active service.Young Men's Christian Association with the Salonica Forces." I also have a postcard sent from Malta but unsure of the date. My Grandfather's name was William Bennett, and I he came from Wigan. We have a picture of him in te uniform of the RAMC - I believe. I would appreciate anything anyone could let me any information they may have that could be linked. Or anything re his possible involvement in the campaigns. I should add that Grandad did survive the Great War just -he died in 1924. Many thanks, Neil C. Ormesher
