South African captain proving elusive

Hi

Has anyone got any experience of researching South African servicemen.

I have a Captain G Hodgson who I've had no success, so far, in finding something about.

I am almost certain that he was called Graham H. Hodgson and lived at:

37 Upper Richmond Road Road, Putney, when not boarding at Skipton Grammar School in Yorkshire (then West Yorks). He was born 3-1-1880. He attended above mentioned school from 1893-1896.

Obviously he emigrated to SA at some time.

The School was only informed, some time in 1918, that he died of fever.

Any suggestions?

steve
