charlesmessenger Posted 14 October , 2003 Share Posted 14 October , 2003 A T Stewart was a Battery Sergeant Major in the Motor Machine Gun Service, who was awarded the MC in November 1916. He was commissioned into the MGC and won a bar in November 1917. He was court-martialled on 11 November 1918 and forfeited his commission and his MCs. On 5 February 1920 the London Gazette announced that his medals had been restored to him on account of distinguished service while serving as a Corporal in the 45th Royal Fusiliers in Russia. Does anyone know the reason for his court-martial? Charles M
