89 Coy MGC

Hi All!

While going through the war diary of the 89th Infantry Brigade at the PRO/NA I came across the diary of the 89th Coy MGC. Tucked away in it was this map of the defences at Maricourt. As I open it I saw this beautiful map but unfortunately as i re-folded the map it fell apart. Feeling guilty I had a copy made  .

I hope some Pals will find it of interest.

Regards

Terry

Terry - you're a star, mate.

When I was researching the 17th Mancs, I was after something this detailed, but only had sketches for the 1 July attack, which didnt cover Maricourt itself. Never occured to me to look at the next Brigade. Doh!

John, no probs mate, glad you can make use of it.

Malcolm, well done. Just as it was before I destroyed it

I was a bit sad that the map fell apart after I opened it but at least we have a copy to pass on.

Does anyone know if the NA preserve docs and maps that are in a bad state, or do they just leave them and hope for the best?

Regards

Terry
