Marc Thompson Posted 4 November , 2003 Share Posted 4 November , 2003 Bob, On this date one and a half companies drawn from "C" and "D" Companies of the 1st Dorsets carried out a raid with three companies and one one and a half platoons of the 5/6th Royal Scots at Surcouff Farm. The History of the Dorsetshire Regiment has a couple of pages covering the raid for which I can provide details. In this affair 2/Lieut Elliott was wounded, four OR were killed, two missing, and twenty-eight wounded. All the wounded were brought in.
