Guest Simon Bull Posted 5 November , 2003 Share Posted 5 November , 2003 I am researching a solider called William Thomas Neal who was in the 1st Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment and was killed on 17/9/1914. I have two queries, namely: (1) Bearing in mind the date upon which he was killed and that he was 20 years of age am I safe in concluding that he must have been a serving regular and not a reservist? (2) His number was 9450. Is it possible to draw any conclusions about which Company he was in? Simon Bull
