William Bryce Posted 5 November , 2003 Share Posted 5 November , 2003 Hi, Am still trying to research my father's (William (Joseph) Bryce, RE) service in WW1. I have four medal cards with this name but none that I can positively identify as I don't know his service number. There is no Absent Voters List for Liverpool so no clue there. The Electoral Register for Spring, 1919 lists him as being "a" (absent voter), and "NM" (naval/military). He joined the British merchant marine in 1924 and served throughout WW2 on British and Canadian ships. I was wondering if anyone out there knows if his WW1 service number might have been listed in any of his merchant marine records. Also, if anyone can point me in any other possible directions, it would be most appreciated. Ever hopeful, Bill
