Has anyone got any info or photos about the 55th (West Lancs) Div. group which I believe was called the 'Red Roses'? I am hoping to 'recreate' them on our tenth anniversary battlefields tour in 2004. Ste Posted 11 November , 2003 Share Posted 11 November , 2003 Mark, I have just begun to research 1/5 South Lancs, which were a part of the 55th (166 Bde) from its formation until early 1915, and then again from mid 1916 when the Division was re-assembled. I haven’t come across mention of the ‘Red Roses’ yet, but I’ll post it here if I do. It would be good if you can let us know how you get on – I for one would be interested to hear about the concert party in that Division.
