anniemcc Posted 12 November , 2003 Share Posted 12 November , 2003 It appears that both my grandfathers served in the R.A.S.C. during WW1. How do I find out where the various units served, both in the U.K.and in Europe atb that time.
Doug Lewis Posted 12 November , 2003 Share Posted 12 November , 2003 Anniemmc If you go onto the mother site (The Long,Long Trail) and look at Units of the Army it covers R.A.S.C. It might give you a start. Regards Doug
Chris_Baker Posted 13 November , 2003 Share Posted 13 November , 2003 Hi Annie Welcome to the forum. There were an awful lot of ASC units - over a thousand, in fact - and wherever there was a theatre of war or anywhere the army wnet, there were the ASC too. Do you have any clues? Their numbers? Any photos, postcards, papers, letters...anything? Let us know and I'm sure every snippet will be analysed!
