John is buried in the Dainvillr Communal Cemetery just outside Arras. I am particularly interested in where and when in was enlisted. I think SDGW must have it wrong since both CWG Debt of Honour Register and (perhaps more importantly) the original letter sent by the Infantry Records Office at Hounslow notifying his widow of his death show his number as 50879.
