Guest lesley Posted 14 November , 2003 Share Posted 14 November , 2003 Hello Munchkin and welcome to the forum. Look ups can take a number of forms: *Soldiers/officers died in Great War CD ROM (which a number of forum members have, ) gives info such as regiment, sometimes bithplace, residence, place of enlistment, former regiments. *If you look in the documents section, Pals list books, war diaries etc which they have and which may be of use to other PALS. *MIC look ups - these are the medal index cards at the PRO at Kew. They tell you which medals a soldier was entitled to, regiments served with and sometimes an enlistment date. I'm going to the PRO tommorow and will see if I can find the medal index card for Joseph for you. regards Lesley
