Simon R Posted 14 November , 2003 Share Posted 14 November , 2003 Dear All, How long are an officers records retained by the MOD if he served in both WWI and WWII? I know the range of officers records in the PRO (WO338 or whatever) finishes at 22nd May 1922 (or whatever it is, my head is really fit to fall off today). Will I still be alive when the MOD finally releases them? And the PRO catalogues and microfilms them? I imagine they have a strategy for dealing with the sudden influx of files, would it allow them to be dovetailed into existing indices? Simon.
