Malcolm Posted 23 November , 2003 Share Posted 23 November , 2003 Whitby Abbey was a screw ( as opposed to paddle) minesweeper of 1188 tons launched 1908 armed with 2 x 2pdr guns. Requisitioned 10/2/1915. She had the pennant No M35 in February 1915, changed to T09 in September 1915, changed to T90 in January 1918. She was returned to her owners on 23/12/1919.
