The current archivist at Clifton is a well known expert on Pepys and naval history but can provide no information on the war dead from Clifton. Apart from the copy in the school library no one seems to know of the whereabouts of any copy of the supplement to the Cliftonian of 1922.

My poor father would be turning in his grave.

A similar story of disregard at my old school, Prince Henry's, Evesham. Whilst a pupil there in the 1970s a few of us were told to clear out a stock cupboard full of Old Henrician Magazines dating back many decades. We literally tossed them all into a skip. There were hundreds of them. Given my later interests my part in this vandalism makes me wince. PHHS (previously PHGS) has no real idea who served or died.

If anyone is still looking here is a list of those who served and a list of those who died

There is a list in the Internet Archive - https://archive.org/details/cliftonian-memorial-great-war

I found researching H C Collins who is named amongst those who died in 1917
