Airman CC Taylor KIA 7.7.17

AM CC Taylor of 37 Sqn was shot down (possibly by his own anti aircraft guns!), along with his pilot 2Lt John Edward R Young, while attacking Gotha bombers on a raid on the UK.

The Sopwith ditched into the sea, near Maplin light vessel, and although rescued, Taylor later died that day of a compound skull fracture. Young's body was not recovered.

Apart from the info on CWGC, can anyone tell me any more about this man - I can't find him on SDGW.

Does anyone know his forename(s), age etc, please...?

AM.II Cyril C.Taylor (observer) No.21547

If you call the cemetery authority (Camden Borough Council - I think) and give the name, date & grave number, they may have the middle name and age.

CWGC will not hold any more info than on their site.
