Simon_Fielding Posted 8 February , 2007 Share Posted 8 February , 2007 I've just become the proud owner of a copy of this excellent history (lookups welcomed). I remember that the officer who wrote it was listed in a catalogue I've long since lost - could anyone remind me who it is? Simon

dorset_canary Posted 13 December , 2007 Share Posted 13 December , 2007 Simon, can I please take you up on your offer of a lookup? The man I am looking for is Private Walter Bennett. His medal index card lists him as serving in the Worecestershire Yeomanry (Regimental No 2245) and then in the Corps of Hussars (Regimental No 325228). He recieved the 1914 Star and later served in the Middle East. Other than that we know nothing about his war service. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks Bruce
