STORER, WILLIAM HENRY - RMLI

I'm seeking information about STORER, WILLIAM HENRY who served in Chatham Bn. R.N. Div RMLI and died on 30.04.1915 at Gallipoli.

Does anyone have access to the "ROYAL NAVAL DIVISION ROLL OF HONOUR: CHATHAM BATTALION"?

If so, is there any indication of birth place, age, or next of kin?

My Grandmother's first husband John Henry Storer had a younger brother called William.

We have the following for Pte. Wm. Henry STORER:

Reported missing on or about 29.4.15.

Unofficially reported killed in action at Gaba Tepe 30.4.15.

Born 26.8.1884 at Manchester.

Ex Pte. Notts & Derby Regt. enlisted 7.9.14.

Transferred to RMLI short service 16.9.14.

Sailed for Dardanelles 6.2.15.

Unfortunately we don't have NofK information. Address on enlistment and possibly a NofK address will be found in his ADM159 record held at the NA, Kew. Alternatively his complete service record is kept at the Fleet Air Arm Museum, Yeovilton.

The fact he was an ex Notts & Derby Regt. man suggests he may have lived in the Notts/Derby area in 1914. Just a thought.

Welcome aboard, Neil. I have followed some of your research, involving the RND, with great interest.

I'm looking forward to reading more from your research....

Thanks for the information. The DOB and birth place means this is not John Henry Storer's brother.
