trooper Posted 5 December , 2003 Share Posted 5 December , 2003 In a book I have just purchased their is a photograph of what the author claims is the King's Colour of the 10th (Irish) Division in Armagh Cathedral. Has anyone ever heard of a Colour being presented to a division? I know King's Colurs were presented to Service Battalions within a division but I've never heard of them being presented to the division itself. Geoff Parker Posted 5 December , 2003 Share Posted 5 December , 2003 Trooper I've never heard of this before, certainly the Regimental Colour and Soverign's Colour. I believe some battalions adopted their own flag but I think this was unofficial. Maybe the author meant and regiment of the 10th Div. trooper Posted 10 December , 2003 Author Share Posted 10 December , 2003 Geoff This follows my own line of thinking. If I get an opportunity I will pay a visit to the Cathedral and see the "divisional colour" for myself. Trooper
