The Anzacs:Gallipoli to the Western Front

Am nearly finished this one, what a great book!

It is informative, and does provide a little more than can be found in Carlyon's 'Great War' (maybe because I am a simple fella and are easily impressed by pictures...)

Carlyon's 'Gallipoli' is next on my list, a bit back to front I know!

I have heard good things about this book. So far I have only read Tim Travers and Bean on the topic of Gallipoli. I'll give this a bash then!

Was lucky enough to get a first printing of the original Australian edition. What a marvellously written and beautifully produced book - destined to become the modern standard work on the subject for some time to come I think!

ciao,
