POW on Medal Roll

Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help me on this one?

I have a copy of the BWM and Vic medal Roll for 10888 Pte Edmond Webb, Wiltshire Regiment, which reads as follows:-

10888 Pte. WEBB 1st Wilts R.

Edmond 110888 Pte. Class Z. 17.4.19.

6th Wilts R.

2nd Wilts R.

1st Wilts R.

2nd Wilts R.

6th Wilts R.

2nd Wilts R.

Now the thing is, i know this man was taken prisoner in 1918 but what i don't know is with which battalion he was serving with at the time.

Would it ahve been the 2nd Wilts , beings that this is the final entry or would it have been the 6th Wilts and the final entry, i.e. the 2nd Wilts was the battalion he was posted to after release to be discharged.

Any help would be great,

Cheers,

Ski :)

I believe the last entry would be the Bn he was taken POW with. I was told by an experienced chappie at Kew that only Bns with which the soldier served in the operational area are included on the medal rolls.
