jimmyjames Posted 12 April , 2007 Share Posted 12 April , 2007 Remembering today LCpl Gilbert George Scriven, 4 Coy, Household Bn, killed in action on 12th April 1917 during the Battle of Arras and is buried in Brown's Copse Cemetery, Roeux. Born in Badgeworth, near Cheltenham, in 1898. Commemorated on the family plot in Holy Trinity Churchyard, Badgeworth. His brother, Sidney, who was killed on 14th March 1920 whilst serving as a 2Lt in the RAF, lies in this plot, which is recognised by the CWGC. Their parents, Charles and Caroline Scriven, resided at Rosedale House, Badgeworth, and later at Godfrey House, The Reddings, Cheltenham. Photo of the plot is attached.
