Esskay Posted 21 April , 2007 Share Posted 21 April , 2007 A Google search for "Montgomerie-Fleming" brings up some interesting family background (they seem to have been heavily involved in the development of the Glasgow suburb of Kelvinside) as well as the possibility that JB might have been with Royal Fusiliers prior to the East Yorkshire Regiment. Project Gutenberg has a copy of the "The 23rd (Service) Battalion Royal Fusiliers" online that lists 1069 Montgomerie-Fleming, JB amongst the original nominal roll. Another site it brings up suggests he may have been involved in the shooting of an intruder at the family home in Glasgow in 1908 (it refers to the young Mr Montgomerie-Fleming - and this chap would have been 24 at the time) http://www.peterhead.org.uk/history/ph_con..._recidivist.htm Also looks as if the National Archives of Scotland have family papers in their collection - and finally JB is on the Glasgow University Roll of Honour Not sure where you are - but these might be possible sources to follow up in your quest for a picture Good Luck Sue
