At last, here is Oskar in all his uniformed glory. I thought you might be interested. He looks totally cheesed off to me and I can identify with that.

Ralph, I know you must be busy, but did you manage to have a look at the Verlustlisten for any clues? This might be my one and only chance to finally pin down the details of his fate. Anything you could turn up would be most gratefully received.

Might it also be possible that he is on a separate list not related to the regiment, for instance if he was wounded and transferred to a medical unit where he subsequently died, for instance if he was the poor unfortunate in the digging party who stepped on the grenade?
