This appears to be a reprint of "The Story of The 9th Kings In France" by E H G Roberts published in Liverpool in 1922 under another name.

I.e the 2 books you mention are the same.

Whilst you might wish for more detail,this is the only history of this battalion( previously the 6th Volunteer Battalion and orginally the Liverpool Press Guard ) available, and does contain an appendix listing decorations awarded to officers and men whilst serving with the battalion.
