SMG65 Posted 25 September , 2007 Share Posted 25 September , 2007 A win win booklet. Fifty two pages long and the title amply describes what the book is about with clear, colour photos. Harry died in 1987 and has a memorial in Mametz Wood. The book is on sale for 10 euros at the Thiepval Visitor Centre, Delville Wood, Newfoundland Park and other tea shops, cafes and centres on the Somme. All proceeds go towards the preservation of Lochnagar Crater. Sean
thegreatwar Posted 25 September , 2007 Share Posted 25 September , 2007 Don't forget, he has a memorial at the Crater itself. Nice 'headstone' in Mametz, one of my favourite places to visit, this being part of the NF's. He was also a member of the WFA & Friends of Lochnagar-hence the memorial at the crater.
