I have recently aquired his medal record card, thanks to one of the pals. On it under the heading of Rank, it does not seem to say Pte. Yorts Posted 13 January , 2004 Share Posted 13 January , 2004 A agree that it is hard to read, but I think the first ambiguous character is a P and the others a T and a E = Pte = Private. CWGC seems to confirm this, but for total confirmation check the medal roll. The ones I've viewed are typewritten so it should be much clearer. Rgds, Alex.
