Sue Light Posted 13 January , 2004 Share Posted 13 January , 2004 He was a Stoker, 1st Class, in the Royal Navy. Looking at his service number and comparing it with a couple of local men I have who were stokers, he must have enlisted during the second half of the war. His service record will be in ADM/188 at the PRO, and unlike the lost Army service records, that one will be sitting waiting for you!
