stephenh Posted 17 January , 2003 Share Posted 17 January , 2003 I have a BWM to a soldier in the ASC with the prefix M before his Regimental Number. Would anybody know what this M stands for? Thank you Stephen
CROONAERT Posted 18 January , 2003 Share Posted 18 January , 2003 If it's "M1" then it's ASC Mechanical Transport Section. "M2" are ASC electricians If it's "M" on it's own, then you've got me on that one!!!! Dave.
Nigel Marshall Posted 19 January , 2003 Share Posted 19 January , 2003 Ive often wondered about those prefixes too. I have the medals of a father and son, the father being entitled to a pair and his son a 15 trio. The father (both men were called Francis) has a DM2- prefix. I had no idea it related to his trade. Could you tell me what his trade was by his prefix? If you can, thanks very much! Nigel
