Guest Pete Wood Posted 17 January , 2004 Share Posted 17 January , 2004 I have been sent some information on Lord Kitchener, which appears to show that 'K' was made a Knight Justice, Order of St John of Jerusalem. Can anyone tell me what this (chivalry) award was for? When was Kitchener granted the title? Was he entitled to write KJStJ after his name? Greenwoodman Posted 17 January , 2004 Share Posted 17 January , 2004 RT Checked biogs by Cassar, Kellet, Magnus and Pollock - no mention in indices (indexes?). One photo does show 6 orders on his uniform, prior to the awarding of the Bath.
Terry Denham Posted 17 January , 2004 Share Posted 17 January , 2004 Recipients of the various grades of the Order of St John are not entitled to the use of any post-nominal letters.
