I have found a book in my attick that belonged to my grand father

called the great war i was there by sir john hammerton

three volumes all red with gold embossing to spine dates from 1918

volume one aug 14 1914-july 1st 1916 has a soldier embossed on the spine

volume two july 4 1916-oct 22 1917 has a airman

and three oct 25 1917-nov 11 1918 and after. a sailor

published by london the amalgamated press ltd

the books have 2060 pages in total and must be over 5000 black and white photo's

in the back is a list of all the men in the photo's i would like to know if anyone has seen books

the same as these and are they collectable i have not seen any exactly the same on any site on the internet

anyone who has a relative that was in the 1st world war who would like me to look if there photo is in the books

let me know and i will see if i can find the name and email you the photo
