Hello,

I'm looking for a photograph of :

2nd Lieutenant CHARLES ALFRED PIGOT-MOODIE

6th Reserve Battn. RIFLE BRIGADE

(THE PRINCE CONSORT’S OWN)

attending 2nd Battn. ROYAL IRISH RIFLES.

Died on the 13th January 1915.

After only having been with the unit for 39 days. He had joined the battalion on the 5.12.14 and had come out with a batch of reinforcements for the unit.

The only photograph I have been able to find is the one in Bond of Sacrifice, however it is of very poor quality.

PIGOT-MOODIE spent some time at HARROW school and I know he had a photograph taken locally. I'm assumming that the School Memorial book includes photo's and I was hoping that someone out there has a copy of the book. I would be very gratefull for a copy of the photograph.

His death is described in The Burgoyne Diaries.

Jimmy,

Yes that's correct, that's where I found the first reference to him. He is buried in Kemmel Chateau cemetery. Not far from my house. About a 100 yards to be more exact.
