TEW Posted 26 May , 2022 Share Posted 26 May , 2022 A quick heads up for @Jim Strawbridge. I have a fair amount of early 1915 lists to post. For reasons unknown any list dated between 14/3/15 - mid June 1915 are quite likely to have at least one later correction version. I've been ploughing through some of these originals and subsequent correction/amendment lists and there are surname errors, number inversions and unit mix ups IE. Royal Irish Rifles & Fusiliers. I've seen some where all three details are wrong. Not to say that earlier lists are all correct but it looks as though efforts were made from mid March to correct any errors. Glad these lists are adding to your collection. TEW 4635 4364 4473 7498 I dated this to 1/1/1915 based on service records tallying. Difficult to be sure the list is of that date as this could be a later event. 8322 10143 Dated from service records that match up to the St Andrew event 13502 Failed to date this, spreadsheet suggests a date of around early March 1915. One SR shows the wound took place mid January 1915 15002 15582 26099 This is an original list, a later version with amendments was produced 23rd June 1915. Alas, it's not surfaced as yet. Although casualty information can be gleaned from a soldiers service records not many of these survive. So it is nice to browse the casualty lists that are posted here. TEW Posted 27 May , 2022 Share Posted 27 May , 2022 Andy, I've gleaned 78 amendment list images (not uploaded yet) similar to your last one which I didn't have. I'm hoping to find all sheets for some of the Amendment lists. Dink999 posted one with 52 lists which could run to 20 images. The 1915 lists I've been posting recently are just ones I find while hunting the others, plus they may be original lists amended later on. I use the details from one list to find others, that works for a while and then one turns up out of the blue and starts the ball rolling again. TEW Posted 31 May , 2022 Share Posted 31 May , 2022 Last batch of 1915 lists for a while. Includes some awkward ones with no list numbers. TEW 26143, 26144 & 26145 Doesn't say so but it looks to be an update on conditions from a month earlier 26827 No list number but it's an amendment to list 27799 A Feb 1915 list missing its number A March 1915 list missing its number. I spent some time on this one and for various reasons I believe it to be another sheet from list 13582 with more details from 13 Stationary Hospital. I've left it like this so the top can be cropped if needed.
