5th Army in March 1918 (John Lane 1921)

Good Evening All.

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the book called the 5th Army in March 1918 by John Lane printed

in 1921 by Shaw.Sparrow.W.It would be very greatful if somebody could give me a pointer.

I think you have the publisher and author swopped over - it was published by John Lane and written by W. Shaw Sparrow. It's an interesting comparison with Gough's own account "The March Retreat" published in 1934 which was in fact lifted as a complete section from "The Fifth Army" published in 1931. I believe Gough wanted to make his defence of the Fifth Army and the retreat available to men who perhaps couldn't afford the grander volume.

The book is available at Google Books.

If you go to icanhide.com, type in www.books.google.com (click "Surf"), then search for "The Fifth Army in March 1918", it ought to come top of the list, and is then either readable online or available for free download.

Try for the third edition, reckoned to be the best edition.
