Hi there,

I believe this to be my great great uncle Richard, this is the only member of my family who served in the Navy so i'm quite keen to find out a little bit more about him, but this picture is all I have got to do with him, to start researching I wouldn't have a clue, Ive been told he was in the First World War but not to sure wot period this picture was taken in!?! the only other thing ive been told about him is when his sister died (my great grandmother 1941) he came to stepney for the funeral, and afterwards stayed around there area to catch up with the family and was killed in some sort of accident in stepney??? Ive tried to research this but haven't found anything out, also been told by about 3 members of the family when he was killed he was quite a high rank in the navy? any info or advise which would help with my research would be gratefully recived.
