FRICOURT Posted 7 February , 2004 Share Posted 7 February , 2004 I will be visiting the Boesinghe area in the Salient in a couple of weeks mainly to get photos of the graves of the many Cleckheaton men burried there (B Coy, 1/4th West Riding Regt, 49th Div). Whilst there I also want to try and pinpoint ALGERIA(N) FARM on the Canal Bank. The reason being I have some of the possessions of Capt Cuthbert Hartnell 1/8th West Yorks Regt (Leeds Rifles), 49th Div who was killed there on 16 July 1915. According to his comrades he died in the arms of Rifleman A Wilkinson in the front line at Algeria(n) Farm. Any ideas of the exact spot as I would like to visit it ?. It may have something to do with the Algerians being there earlier in 1915. Thanks Charlie
